- Obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.
- Hold a current driver’s license in good standing.
Responsibilities: As a Therapist, your primary responsibilities include:
- Ensuring patient safety and providing effective milieu interventions.
- Leading psychoeducational and process-oriented therapy groups to foster holistic healing.
- Conducting thorough clinical assessments and documenting them promptly during the treatment process.
- Establishing strong therapeutic rapport with patients and their families or loved ones.
- Assessing patients for suicidality and the potential for harm to self or others.
- Facilitating smooth admission assessments and processes for new patients with professionalism and empathy.
- Actively participating in clinical outreach initiatives and program tours as necessary.
- Collaborating with the treatment team to set and communicate weekly treatment goals.
- Maintaining a manageable caseload across different levels of care, ensuring personalized attention for each patient.
- Completing the required number of therapy sessions weekly, including family/support system sessions aligned with the patient's needs.
- Conducting process-oriented and psychoeducational groups regularly to promote therapeutic engagement.
- Providing utilization reviews to insurance companies, ensuring accurate clinical information for authorization purposes.
- Being accessible to family members or loved ones, promptly responding to calls and emails within specified timeframes.
- Liaising with Utilization Review and Business Departments regarding authorization and payment matters.
- Communicating effectively with referral sources and outpatient providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Initiating discharge planning upon admission, facilitating a smooth transition for patients.
- Conducting discharge sessions to equip patients with coping skills and necessary resources for ongoing support.
- Effectively managing crises in sessions and within the milieu, providing timely support to both patients and staff.
- Collaborating closely with the treatment team and milieu staff to uphold clinical excellence.
- Maintaining a full-time schedule within specified hours to ensure availability during peak operating times.
